Two projects born in the public school Pou de la Muntanya in Dénia have been awarded at the 40º edition of the Baldiri Reixac Awards granting the Carulla Foundation to recognize both committed students and transforming schools and educators.

On this occasion the school has received two awards, one in the category Middle and Higher Cycle, with the work Audio; and another in the category Inter-level projects, with work House meva és casa vostra. In both cases, these are globalizing, motivating and interdisciplinary projects in which the entire educational community has taken part.

Casa Meva és casa vostra part of the well-known song by Jaume Sisa, to introduce the children of the "Monsters" class in the world of reading and writing. In it, the students of 4º A (the old Explorers) guided the little ones in a world of letters, emotions, plastic and musical compositions, in order to acquire the basic skills necessary to enter the reading process. There have been many activities carried out by these two groups, among which the video clip made last October stands out.

For its part, Audio It pays homage to some of the women who are part of our lives. Frida Kalho, Maria Ibars, Aina Fornés, Marie Curie or even "ma uela" Rosita are the ideal pretext to work a lot of globalizing activities that have allowed students to internalize much-needed values today such as respect for different genres, self-improvement or the culture of effort.

Throughout the year different activities have been carried out, such as the elaboration of different types of text, the theatrical dramatization of a work of own production or even a sociological analysis of toy catalogs.

The Baldiri Reixac Awards were delivered last Sunday, 3 June, at the National Theater of Catalonia, in Barcelona. More than 800 people from the world of education met that was led by the TV3 presenter Quim Masferrer.
