The D * na Gastronomic Festival Dénia is presented in Madrid

This Thursday, Madrid hosted the presentation in society of the D * na Festival Gastronòmic Dénia, to be held in the Marineta Cassiana the next 30 in September and 1 in October. At the presentation ceremony, held at the Platea gastronomic space, the chef Quique Dacosta, curator of the event; the mayor and councilor of tourism, Vicent Grimalt; the deputy mayor, Rafa Carrió, and the regional secretary of tourism, Francesc Colomer.

Quique Dacosta congratulated himself "That chefs from all over the world come to celebrate, learn and share our universal language, the way we have to communicate: gastronomy. At the same time we want to humanize it by having" star "chefs, with anonymous cooks and artisans. All this to disseminate, but also enrich, the uniqueness and territorial attachment that reside in the DNA of our kitchen ".

For his part, Vicent Grimalt stated that "D * na will help us to show Dénia's distinction as a Creative City of Gastronomy of UNESCO and the reasons - landscape, weather and, of course, gastronomic - that have established us as one of the best national tourist destinations. In D * na we will gather chefs from 17 Creative Cities of Gastronomy of UNESCO that are part of this network and that will enrich with this experience the exchange and cultural value of their regions ".

Francesc Colomer stressed that Dénia "Currently he projects the best version of the Valencian Community thanks to the work and effort of a society that shares values ​​such as humility, love of roots, responsibility and respect for an ancestral culture".

The presentation event was also attended by the president of AEHTMA, Cristina Sellés, Ricard Camarena and the dancers restorers Bati Bordes and Pepe Romany, who offered a tasting of local products that for their quality and versatility have become ambassadors of the Mediterranean diet outside our borders.

This Friday morning we will know the details of the event, which will bring 50 chefs from all over the world, producers and artisans to discover and taste Mediterranean cuisine overlooking the sea.
