Reduces the budget for Citizen Participation, International Relations and Consumer Affairs

13 March 2012 - 00: 00

The Councilor for Citizen Participation, International Relations and Consumption, Marcela Server, analyzed the budget corresponding to its area, which decreases with respect to 2011 and is around 250.000 euros.

Citizen participation reduces its budget in 12.000 euros and will receive 25.000 euros, betting on greater contact with associations and neighbors, and increasing the periodicity of the Participation Council, from half-yearly to quarterly.

International Relations will drop to 11.600 euros, the most noticeable decrease, which according to the Councilor will not reduce contact with associations of foreign residents and will enhance the joint work between Associations and Local Institution.

The department of Consumption-OMIC will receive 92.886 euros that will focus on information to citizens through talks, campaigns and useful workshops.

Finally, the Health area will not have budget allocation, although meetings with hospital managers will continue to coordinate the information campaigns. Also this March will begin a series of visits with representatives of neighborhood associations to Denia hospital "So that they know the new services of the center" and they can transmit them to their associates. This type of visits will then be extended to associations of foreign residents.
