Two people are arrested in Dénia for an 'indoor' marijuana plantation after receiving information through a social network

16 March 2019 - 09: 25

Agents of the Police Station of Denia have arrested a young man of Spanish nationality and 28 years, for a crime against public health, having allegedly established an indoor "marijuana plantation" at his home.

In the house search the police seized 500 grams of marijuana and material destined to the plantation. They also detained their roommate.

The information that gave rise to this intervention was received by the investigators of the Police Station of Denia in the mail TWEETREDADA (antidroga@policia.es)

These arrests are part of an operation in several municipalities in the province of Alicante in which eight people have finally been arrested and two "indoor" marijuana crops have been dismantled in two chalets.

Citizen collaboration, noise from the air conditioning and the extractor were fundamental for the discovery of the plantation.

In Altea, the police intervened more than 700 marijuana plants, around four and a half kilos of buds, four precision scales, 1.200 euros and notebooks with different annotations.

In Benidorm, a person has been arrested who was allegedly handed over a container to a young tourist in exchange for money. After the exchange, the police proceeded to the quick interception of the two people and they could see how the man carried six more sealed boats among his belongings and containing marijuana inside, a substance that he presumably was selling in the place where he was arrested. It also hid almost five hundred euros in fractioned currency.
