This Monday has begun in the Provincial Court of Alciante the trial for the murder of Ximo JB, 59 years, who was asphyxiated and later dismembered in Denia. The alleged perpetrator of the crime happened in a floor of the street Mallorca in August of 2015 has recognized the facts before a popular jury.
According to Europa Press reports, despite not agreeing with the requested sentence, the accused has stated that he regrets "every day" Of what happened, and that intends to compensate financially the sister of the deceased.
The prosecutor asks for the confessed murderer a penalty of 15 years in prison for a crime of homicide and five months for desecration of corpse, in addition to compensation of 50.000 euros for the sister of the deceased for the moral damages caused.
The facts go back to 19 and 20 days of August of 2015. The defendant was on the floor with the deceased and, apparently, after a strong argument, ended his life by strangulation. From that moment, and according to the prosecutor's account, the accused used different tools to chop the body. Days later, the 26 of August, the confessed assassin introduced the rest in a refrigerator and transferred them to a nearby property that had been owned by his brother, where he spread them.
As for the motivation of this murder, have not transcended data, although the economic motive could be behind, since the alleged murderer was authorized to manage property of the deceased thanks to a power of attorney signed by the victim.
