CEI Bombonets a year since its inauguration last year, to know how it went this adventure we have spoken with both entrepreneurial and Laia Pilar.
How did the Bombonets idea?
Bombonets is a dream come true. We studied together, both the cycle and the race and together, we wanted to undertake this new project we take forward that effort. What we saw initially far, we finally succeeded in six months.
What characteristics differentiate Bombonets from other schools?
Undoubtedly, the large patio and breadth of cole. In addition to the own garden and small farm animals we possess. And of course, that all facilities are approved by the Department.
Some new features this year ...
This September we started the course with complete 70 seats. A year ago we started with only 10 students, but gradually have been incorporated new children. Already in June we have exhausted the 70 2016 seats course / 2017. However, we want to clarify families that do not stop coming to visit and learn, because you can always be a vacancy.
About center staff, has also grown clear, we started being only two and are now 7 teachers and a cook. And now we have own kitchen. We have always had a room with menus created by nutritionist, taking special care with children who may have intolerances, creating in special menus. Now with the new kitchen we continue with these balanced and homemade menus.
Another novelty is that we have integrated a digital agenda, where parents can check timetables and activities. This also allows each individual parent knows what his son has done in the center, through a mobile application.
Children have outdoor activities and animals, what benefits this small?
In Bombonets we encourage outdoor activities, fauna and flora, so that children learn to care for and respect animals and nature. For example, we have a bunny is our mascot and children when they go out into the yard and fed greet him. We also have chickens and children collect the eggs they lay.
There is an orchard that is also a very lucrative activity for children, since they experience firsthand how vegetables, tomatoes, onions, peppers grow ... Another activity is to plant seeds alone in a pot and then watch it grow.
How is a working day in Bombonets?
We are now in the adjustment period. It is a difficult time for everyone: children, parents and teachers, but in two weeks the kids are already used to their routine in the nursery.
After this period, in the normal course, the children enter the center, go to their class with the teacher and do an assembly in English. Next, they do some activity and then they have lunch and go out to the patio. Each child has a didactic unit that is followed in their classes, day by day. And in addition, the activities are combined with projects such as 'back to school', 'the school farm', 'The Christmas'...Always learning new things, knowing materials, etc.
What advice would you give to parents back to school?
Parents have to be patient, educate children that the Infant School is a positive place, tell them that the center is a place where they will come to play, meet other children, eat ... In short, educate the child that They are going to have fun. And above all, that the child does not come with fear.
In Bombonets we not close throughout the year and are open during business hours 7h to 20h. In summer, Easter, Christmas and holidays when the school is closed children can come 0 to 10 years. We want to tell parents not hesitate to visit us and know us. We will inform all delighted.
