Sanitat, through its web portal, has made public the new infection data by municipalities and departments, corresponding to the results of the PCR tests carried out on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
According to these new data, the Dénia Health Department, on which all the Marina Alta, has registered 105 new infections, 17 less than in the last update. A slight improvement that gives a breather and confirms some stability in the trend of infections. In total, there are already 1.021 positives registered in the region since the pandemic began.
Once again, the municipality that has registered the highest number of infections, more than half of the county total, has been Dénia, with 66 new cases (slightly higher than the last update). The cumulative incidence reaches 552,6, still very far from other populations with high numbers of infections such as Benigànim, which exceeded 1.100 per 100.000 inhabitants.
In total, the regional capital has registered 609 positives since March and 8 deaths with coronavirus, the last in August.
