They evict and forcibly close the Raset car park

31 March 2023 - 13: 21

This morning the eviction of the El Raset car park located at the entrance of the north breakwater of Dénia, next to the port, has been carried out. The car park has been managed by the private company Fomento de Infraestructuras y Proyectos for 10 years, which was surprised this morning by the event.

The closure has been made effective at the request of the Ministry of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, by means of a direct order from the General Directorate of Ports in Valencia. For this, the Autonomous Police has appeared, in addition to Teresa Díaz Galindo, head of the Port Management and Services Service, and the lawyer from the Ministry, Fernando Gramell.

According to the manager of the company that runs the parking lot, Luis Boedo, the eviction is due to the interests that currently exist in that land, on which the construction of the Gent de Mar Integrated Vocational Training Center has been projected. de Dénia presented this project last Wednesday.

The facts reported by the manager place the beginning of the conflict last year, when he must present all the documentation for the renewal of parking licences. Following this request, the mandatory favorable report from the Port technicians was obtained, countersigned and signed in Valencia by the head of the Port Management and Services Service.

The area is managed by the Department of Port Services and delegated to the Dénia Ports office. Boedo affirms that from the Ministry the technicians in charge of the area in Dénia were separated, so that when presenting the papers to renew the license, "they ignored my favorable reports."

Last September, Dénia requested 6.400 m² for the FP center, for this reason, according to Boedo, they denied him the land for its exploitation, "because the surface occupied by the car park overlapped with the surface requested by the City Council for the institute People of the Sea”.

In a meeting with the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the councilor for Town Planning, Maria Josep Ripoll, the businessman spoke with the town hall about locating the car park a few meters back, where the seasonal fair was located before, to grant the more than 6.000 square meters they needed for the new building. "They told us that they had not presented anything definitive yet and that the car park had to coexist in any case," says the manager.

Due to the events, the parking management company presented the case before the courts a few weeks ago and requested precautionary measures to resolve the conflict against the Ministry and Port Services. “A few weeks ago we filed an administrative dispute against the decision of the Ministry, as well as the request for precautionary suspension and even the very precautionary one before the Superior Court of Justice to stop the procedure until the true reason for the opacity, for the administrative silence, is clarified. », clarifies the company in a statement.

The City Council clarifies that the decision, taken by Ports, is due to an agreement with another company for the exploitation of the land

Despite the businessman's accusations, the truth is that what actually happened is far from what was exposed. The Dénia City Council has been quick to clarify that the closure has little or nothing to do with the Gent de Mar center project. awarded the operation of the Raset car park to a new company. However, the previous concessionaire, the one that has blocked access, disagrees and has taken the matter to court. So far, a conflict between Ports and the company in which the City Council does not enter ».

The new concession, which will assume operation after the Easter season, will locate the parking lot closer to the breakwater to leave the free space where the Gent de Mar center will be located. However, the mayor assured that it would not disappear that parking offer during Holy Week, but they reached an agreement with Ports so that the City Council can offer the space for free until April 11.

Building for public use there, come on, another company that manages the concession, yes paying more, whoever.

  2. Mamen says:

That awful! Another building and another obstacle for those of us who are not in the center. The truth is that this council does not lose the ability to surprise, that is, for the worse.

    • Luis says:

Does it bother you that they are finally building infrastructure for education? If it were for an auditorium, would it bother you the same?

Denia has been destroyed. I have spent the summer here all my life and I have lived here for 10 years and the people here are very unhappy with the damage they have done to this wonderful city that has become a pedestrian street in a seedy town or with all businesses closed

      • yolanda says:

I think that nobody is bothered by the construction of a FP center, moreover, it is necessary and we have to train good professionals.
Our young people need quality job training and Denia is a good city within the region to carry out this building. What is not very accurate is the location. Next to the port, with the bustle of cars that go to the ferry, the bustle of tourists or non-tourists who walk through that area, the people of Denia also frequent this walk a lot. The restaurants in that area were made to put windows so that the facades and the port could be seen better, it is not acceptable that a building is now being built in that area that covers all views of the sea. I think Denia has many plots of land unused, unfinished buildings such as the one on calle de la vía that has been around for at least seven years with only the columns, near the mercadona some immense land full of reeds that in my opinion would be more reasonable than just doing it in the port. Having a training offer increases the value of the city and its people, but this location is not adequate.
Now in politics everything goes, they deceive us by offering projects that they know from the beginning are not good according to what they propose, but they don't care. We only see that they are going to build a center in the port and that is very important without thinking in the future what this will mean in terms of the volume of young people who will circulate in that area and although we do not like it, the truth is that they will be overwhelmed in the sun, without going to class and smoking a joint as someone else commented, that happens on all campuses whether we like it or not.
Yes to the FP center but not to the location

        • Pink says:

"...the truth is that they will be seen lying in the sun, without going to class and smoking a joint as another person commented..."
Is that the respect you have for students? Spread that image to belittle them? Is it scary that they are trained to acquire knowledge that allows them to earn a living without depending on tourism? On the other hand, you defend the area arguing that "tourists walk around there", so let them continue walking and see a training building, like in any other city. Next door is a Varadero, a work area. Do tourists bother? For whom are the infrastructures for the population or for tourists?

    • Antonietta says:

Absolutely right! What he wants is to throw out the cars from Denia despite the fact that all his maneuvers will also throw out tourism and the citizens?‍♂️who will go shopping and eat in other towns.
Remind you when they will give you the floor in the month of May…we end this dictatorship!!!

      • Pink says:

Tourism goes to the Marinas and Las Rotas, which are perfectly operational and equipped with services for them. I doubt that the neighbors will go shopping and eat in other towns. Where to? To the Xara? Hahaha

        • Eduardo says:

Dear madam, Denia does not live off the neighbors, it does from foreign visitors, mainly from Madrid and those who come to eat and visit the town on weekends. Just in case, I'm not from Madrid, but I observe what happens. Greetings

        • Pink says:

Dear Eduardo, that is why training centers are necessary in sectors other than tourism so that the population has more job opportunities and increases their quality of life and prospects for the future. Tourists can continue living to enjoy their holidays while the population of Denia lives its life. Madrid is becoming a very touristy city, we are going to close all the Universities then, why do most of the establishments live only from Tourism? not right? I think that SE has to begin to see the populations of the Levant from another perspective beyond vacation enjoyment. Denying education and growth to the population because tourists come to eat on a weekend or on vacation......that is poverty. It's the same thing that matters.

A "magnificent" idea, putting another concrete wall to cover the maritime façade, are we crazy or what? Tell us who came up with this idea to further spoil the seafront. Surely it is not from Dénia

  4. pituca says:

The location in the portet of an institute and the elimination of a parking lot is amazing. Where are people going to park in summer, who come from everywhere to the port, small neighborhood, hippie stalls, etc???- . I hope the mayor receives a good blow in May. You have to be useless.

  5. Jose says:

Hahahaha go to know the personal interests that there will be for the politicians of Denia to want to do there is that institute, in the middle of the port of Denia! It's funny to think of the people from Madrid and Valencia walking around in their Ibizan clothes and next to it all full of groups of young people sitting on the ground eating sandwiches and smoking joints!!! The truth is that just imagining it makes me laugh!! It is not normal that this location was not even considered, but taking into account that politicians only need to be charismatic and very good actors in the elections to be voted for regardless of their academic background or preparation for the position they hold, it is not You can ask more of this privileged class such as politicians

    • Luis says:

Can young people from Madrid and Valencia have their education and those from Denia and surroundings cannot? Is that what bothers? It is not going to be that so much education and training makes them think and create companies beyond "serving" that idyllic onanist postcard that has raised Ibizan clothing.

  6. Pere says:

What a geta from Boedo. She charges what she wants for parking and what he has is a concession, but he immediately believes he is the owner of the farm and with the right to do and undo and if possible continue stealing from the citizens.

  7. terry langley says:

So now they build on car parks that serve business in the area for what, a kick back from one builder to waste more land, they should be ashamed, but money covers that shame!

    • terry langley says:

Agree, more cars in summer and nowhere to park, good thinking, must be a good back handler to keep your bank balance up!

  8. Ignacio says:

Well, nothing that the parking lot hasn't had its license renewed and it's bounced and has taken them to trial. End of story.

    • Marieta says:

A "magnificent" idea, putting another concrete wall to cover the maritime façade, are we crazy or what? Tell us who came up with this idea to further spoil the seafront. Surely it is not from Dénia

      • Luis says:

Do you know that 10-story building right at the entrance to Marques de Campo from the sea? That was the main wall that marred the seafront. Aesthetics of a building on the outskirts of a working-class neighborhood on the first line.

  9. Chus says:

And there is no other place to do the FP center? That in full access to the hotel and tourist area?
    What are these politicians thinking?

    • Luis says:

In the training and future employment of the new generations of Denia. Plus the creation of companies in the maritime sector. Don't you want them to work? Hotel and tourist area? All of Denia belongs to the Dianenses, tourists can take a walk if they want, but Denia is not their theme park. Are you a tourist filler figurine?

      • Luisito says:

        Expropriate yourself! Expropriate yourself!

      • Mamen says:

I think you are not aware that: waiters, carpenters, masons, painters, plumbers, property managers and corresponding personnel, owners of catering businesses and various shops, etc., would have to emigrate and Denia would become the property of low-level foreigners. of consumption. Let's stop with nonsense like Denia is from the Dianenses or throw us out after compensation and eat Denia with potatoes.

        • Luis says:

I think the one who is not aware of what you are saying is you. Why are you throwing out all those professions from Denia? In a city all sectors live together. More sectors, more work, more money. Do you understand? It is tiresome and retrograde that they only understand Tourism.

  10. Dani says:

We must put an end to the current political caste.
They are nothing more than a bunch of conceited.
To hell with the nationalist, feminist, Right-wing, Anti-Systems, Center, Monarchs, Opus Dei parties. All.
    Let's start from scratch.
Let's recast the country and call it the Popular Union.
A socialist country with harsh laws, a single government (no 17) and an economy that belongs to the people (nationalized).
And damn the European Union, the euro and NATO.
    We're free.

  11. Carlos says:

Another trial that the ordinary citizen will have to pay for the ineptitude of those who govern us, a large part of our neighbors do not like the new venture but calm down, they will do it anyway if they fall… In all of us
