The city of Dénia dressed in sports yesterday with the celebration of the Volta a Peu de Dénia race. More than 2000 runners of all categories gathered to participate in the sixth scoring test of the 25th Circuit on foot Marina Alta. The 9,9 km race was a challenge for the participants, who had to cover almost the entire city twice.
The competition began with the children's races at 16:00 p.m., followed by the start for adults at 18:30 p.m. The start and finish line were located on La Vía street and the route passed through many streets of the city. It was, in fact, the most urban circuit to date. The organization, in charge of C. Dénia Corre and the MI Dénia City Council, made sure that all the details were covered to guarantee the safety and success of the event.
And make it coincide with the play Acceder impossible, we had to walk A LOT! It doesn't matter!! Monumental traffic jam! What a good coordination??♀️ by the organizers!!
A VERY GOOD THEATER PLAY, incredible actors and an EMPTY theater. Then they want culture. Gentlemen then don't brag.
Isn't it the other way around?
Put the date of the play, the same day of the race?
Ask yourself, I would say for sure that the disastrous organization/direction of the play, is rather from the acting part of the theater, since it has been known since LAST YEAR, THE DATE OF THE RACE, and not at the end of the year, if not much sooner.
Before criticizing, one should inform one of what he criticizes and his reasons.
Why have a race on Saturday- if you want to mess up a town get up early on Sunday stat at at 6 am finish by 9a.m then you have not interfered with the inhabitants of Denia (l see the winner was from Torrevieja!! Local – not Enjoy next years race but have it in Torrevieja
Totally agree – l had same problem unable to access my garage and had to walk with my wife who recently broke her foot more than a kilometer No organization but good to see the mayor out again in his best clothing – he typifies Denia – scruffy- not a good advert for the town!!!
Very nice but Denia upside down.
I had to leave the car at my daughter's house 2 km away.
Look for non-urban routes.
Every 2×3 events and parties, without knowing where to go or where to park
Worse are the faults, the Moors and Christians, which clog the city for days, and not hours like the race that is barely 4/5 hours.
