The Governing Board of the Dénia City Council approved, yesterday, January 31, the awarding of the safety and health plans, and waste management, for the adaptation of the works of the first urban training circuit for runners in the city, which will be located in Bassetes Park, in Las Marinas.
This is a proposal that emerged from the V edition of the 2021 participatory budgets and that will now see the light. The start date of said project will be at the end of February and the execution period will be two months. The winning company is Vials Costablanca SL and the total budget of the plan is 45.980 euros.
The future urban athletics training circuit will consist of an itinerary for runners, both for beginners and experts r, with a different pavement than the park to differentiate it from the park. The flat route will be practically circular and perimeter of the park and will have a length of 1.000 meters. In addition, it will be marked with milestones every few meters, so that runners can control the distance when doing speed series.
