The Councilor for Territory, Maria Josep Ripoll, met yesterday, Thursday, March 14, with the management of the Llebeig school to learn first-hand about the needs that the new project to reform and modernize the center must respond to, which the City Council will request to be included in the Plan Edificant of the Generalitat. "It is about solving basic but very necessary things, such as climate quality within the classrooms, energy efficiency or humidity problems, to improve the well-being of girls and boys," Ripoll explained.
At the Llebeig school, one of the first projects of the Edificant plan was already carried out in 2017, “an action that was already drafted by the Ministry and that the City Council simply executed. Even so, many things remained pending to update the center and resolve the deficiencies it has," said the Territorio councilor.
The city council will now write the basic report to present the request for inclusion in the Edificant Plan of the school reform.
As highlighted by the Councilor for Territory, "we continue to fully trust in the Edificant Plan as an essential tool for the modernization of educational centers. In Dénia, in recent years it has allowed us to carry out seven projects from the ten delegations received and we continue to insist that we must also carry out the expansion of the Maria Ibars, the construction of the new Raquel Payà and the construction of the Pare school cafeteria. Pere de Jesús Pobre; without forgetting that we demand Gent de Mar and the new conservatory.
The Pla Edificant works already carried out are: the renovation of the Pou de la Muntanya, the Xara school, the Infant classroom and the Pou gym, the renovation of the LLebeig, the renovation of the dining room roof and the Vessanes classroom. , the change of windows of the Cervantes and the reform at the Historiador Chabàs institute. The Edificant plan has been "a revolutionary tool to update the educational infrastructures of the entire Generalitat, which was sorely needed."
More improvements planned in Dénia schools
Maria Josep Ripoll also visited the Cervantes school yesterday, where they want to install a kitchen in the dining room to improve the quality of the meals offered to students.
Furthermore, another of the actions that are being evaluated is the renovation of the sports courts at the Vessanes school. Finally, the new conservatory and the renovation of the Montgó school are pending to be included as new requests in the Edificant Plan.
