Today, 25 November, commemorating the International Day Against Gender Violence. A date when there is nothing to celebrate, but much to claim. And like every year, Dénia goes out to give visibility to this crime.
Matria vaccinates neighbors again
Women's Association matria will seek the commitment of society against this problem. 10 from the morning until 14 hours will celebrate the VII Vaccination Campaign against gender violence. Matria will inform the company from a stand installed in the Calle Marques de Campo, corner with Carlos Sentí.
Institutional act in the Plaza del Consell
The City Council will also take the floor in commemoration of this day. At 13 hours will be read the manifesto of the International Day against gender violence in the Plaza del Consell. Then, students of the ETC and students of the Classrooms of the Third Age will perform a performance.
This event will be completed with the street action No gender violence +, organized jointly by the UNED of Dénia and the Consell de Joventut.
To end the day, cinema
The 25 commemoration events in November will end at 20 hours, with the screening of the film Do not be afraid, Montxo Armendáriz. The film can be seen for free in the classroom building 2 Llunàtics.
Jesús Pobre joins the acts
Jesus Pobre, two large banners covering the Cultural Center with the aim of raising awareness of this social scourge. In them, a figure for each region reflects the extent and seriousness of gender-based violence. They will be on display until February 5 2016 December.
Activities in the EATIM are completed with the exhibition organized by the Comission of Dona Women of all colors by Carmen Sánchez, whose inauguration is scheduled for the 19: 30 hours of the 25 day in November at the Social Center March 8. The events will conclude with vaccination against gender violence to Mercat del riurau on Sunday November 27.
