The International Center of Creative Culture of the Mediterranean will be the great asset of Dénia in FITUR, the International Tourism Fair that is celebrated from 17 to 21 in January in Madrid. This center, which will be located in the premises of the Dénia CDT, will be the nerve center of Mediterranean gastronomy, coordinating the actions of the rest of the CDTs of the Region and enhancing, even more, the image of UNESCO's Creative City of Gastronomy .
The official presentation will be on Thursday, in an act in the central square of the Valencian Community Pavilion, which will be attended by the regional secretary of the Valencian Tourism Agency, Francesc Colomer, the president of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, and the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt.
It is a project in which the Agència Valenciana del Turisme has been working for two years and will be a reality in a short time. Last week, the mayor and Reme Cerdà, from Aehtma, attended the explanatory meeting on the center's operation at the CDT in València.
Own stand
This year, as a novelty, and also thanks to the Creative City of Gastronomy project, Dénia will have its own stand as well as appearing at the Costa Blanca Board of Trustees counter. This differentiation has been achieved thanks to the commitment of the Agència Valenciana del Turisme for this project.
Brochure about ornithological tourism and Kite championships
Dénia's stay at FITUR will also serve to promote new tourism products. The most innovative is the catalog "Discover the birds of Dénia and the Marina Alta”, a guide on ornithological tourism prepared by the company Magic & Nature and Joan Sala.
To these actions in Fitur is added the presentation of two Kite championships to be held in spring and summer in El Portet.
