The Alicante Provincial Council has launched the campaign against sexist violence #yoSImeimplico with which it intends, in addition to informing and sensitizing citizens, to serve as a platform for actions and the mobilization of women and men who condemn this type of violence and they are willing to position themselves against it. In addition, the campaign wants to showcase the different initiatives that the municipalities of the province of Alicante are developing in this line.
To this end, they have organized a cycle of online sessions (webinars) in which a total of 17 Alicante municipalities will participate, exposing their campaigns and actions to combat sexist violence. The cycle began on January 27 and will last until June 21. The sessions take place from 17.30 to 19 pm and registration, free, can be done on the http://violenciasmachistas.diputacionalicante.es/.
Dénia will intervene on February 24 presenting its #senseferpor campaign to raise awareness and awareness of the worrying problem of sexual assaults against women, an action launched by the Department of Equality and Diversity of the Dénia Town Hall in 2019.
The central piece of the campaign is an audiovisual that presents several of the situations of violence that women usually suffer, but this time causing men to experience them. The audiovisual, financed with funds from the State Pact against gender violence, was recorded in Dénia with the collaboration of women from Matria. Associació de Dones, APROSDECO, professional actors and, to make the experiment as real as possible, anonymous men who lived through these situations without knowing that they were being recorded also participated. The experiment offered very interesting results that will be exposed in the webinar on February 24th.
The session will also include the talk "Rain of concepts", by the experts in gender violence Pablo Cuéllar and Carmelo Hernández Ramos, and a workshop generically titled "Recipes for a world without violence against women", in which people Participants will contribute their ingredients to prepare a recipe free of sexist violence. Next, the technique of the Department of Equality, María José Martí Ivars, will expose Dénia's campaign on sexual harassment #senseferpor.
