The Dénia City Council organized a reception yesterday afternoon to celebrate the outstanding achievements of the paddlers of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia in the XVI Spanish Sea Kayak Championship, which was held on the Dianense coast on September 9 and 10. The honored athletes, Toni Gil, Maik Dimitrov, Jon Walthon and Nino Van der Zeeuw were awarded silver medals in various categories.
At the event, which was attended by the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, Councilor for Sports, Valen Alcala, and the president of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia, Jaime Portolés, words of congratulations and recognition were dedicated to the athletes for their notable achievements in the championship. Congratulations were also extended to all the paddlers from the Dianense club who participated in the competition and obtained meritorious results.
