During the plenary session that took place on Thursday, corresponding to the month of December, the purchase agreement of the old ambulatory site, located at the Calle Marques de Campo, 52, a decision that had all the votes in favor of the municipal corporation.
After the approval of this agreement, the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the secretary of the City Council have come today to Alicante to sign before a notary and together with the director of the Treasury of the Social Security in Alacant, Gema Gómez, the acquisition of said site.
It should be remembered that a few months ago, as it was announced that the City Council acquired the site of the old clinic to convert it into a square for a cost of 990.000 euros.
When will the competition for designing the new square take place? This area has been an eyesore for years, covered in graffiti. It would be good to have an entertainment space, such as a bandstand, with seating and opportunities for surrounding businesses to spill out with pavement cafes. Denia is a significant town and should not sell itself short when designing an area that befits it's status.

A park / forest would be nice ... Park with a play area for children, and large trees like the ones on Calle Campos, thus connecting with Calle La Vía.
