The students of 6º of Primary of the Marist School of Dénia are immersed, during this last quarter, in the elaboration of a digital magazine on sustainable tourism in Dénia. This project, promoted from the Library of the center, included a talk on digital journalism by Celia Marín, editorial director of Dénia.com.
For two days, the students of the two groups that make up the course were able to see first hand the work of the journalist at the local level, as well as the challenges they face and the means they have to spread their news.
Likewise, special emphasis was placed on the importance of contrasting news, going to various sources of information, and being able to distinguish real information from fake that nowadays circulate on the internet.
The students of both groups were very participative in the two sessions that were held in the computer room of the center with Professor Raul Martín, coordinator of the project through the subject of Computer Science.
