Dénia seeks to break the Guinness record with the mosaic made with the world's largest coffee capsules

Dénia has set a challenge: to beat the Guinness record with the mosaic made with the world's largest coffee capsules. For this, he will build a photograph of the Tenor Cortis of 31 square meters created with 12.500 coffee capsules.

It is a proposal of the Melic Group that has a sustainable side through the recycling of these capsules; artistic, to give diffusion to one of the great figures in the history of Dénia; and social, since in order to achieve this they need the collaboration of citizens who provide their capsules for the challenge.

For this, from now, those who wish to collaborate can contribute their capsules (size Dolce Gusto) to the containers enabled in the Municipal House of Culture, the Social Center, Llunàtics and the Melicatessen store.

When the necessary capsules are obtained, the image will be assembled, which is planned to be carried out in La Vía street. There, two notaries will attest to the measurements and the capsules used and it will be Guinness who will have to confirm that the record has been broken . It should be noted that it will be the first large mosaic built with this material in the world, which is why Guinness itself has marked the measures that must be overcome.

When mounted, the image will measure 4'7 meters wide by 6'6 meters high, and it is expected to place it on the façade of the Municipal House of Culture as a beautifying element, although the date of the installation at its location is unknown definitive

The members of the Melic group, Luis Silvestre and Antonio Fornés, have called on the population to collaborate by providing capsules. The collection began last year in the schools of Dénia, and currently have 4.500 capsules. The rest, the 7.800 necessary to achieve the record, will be collected from now on the four points mentioned.

For the councilor of culture, Rafa CarrióIt is a project «Very interesting because it covers many aspects», and has highlighted that it gives continuity to the celebration of the Any Cortis, which commemorated the 125 years of the tenor's birth.

The German translation is very bad. I don't know if they only put it on the translator and hang it on the Internet. I am German and I speak Spanish more or less well. I recommend that someone, perhaps a person who speaks German as their mother tongue, review these texts. I know that many people live in Denia who only know how to speak German.
