Dénia expands the parking lot in the Blue Zone by including Calderón streets and the urbanized section of Colón

August 30 from 2018 - 11: 47

The parking in the Blue Zone in Dénia will soon be expanded because according to the mayor of Citizen Security, Javier Scotto, in the August plenary session, hopes that starting in October, Calderón Street and Colón Street, in the recently urbanized section, will become Blue Zone.

To the question asked by the mayor, José Miguel Llobell, Scotto answered affirmatively and clarified that he had spoken with the merchants of the section of the Colón street and that they were in agreement with the decision. Scotto clarified that the residents of Calderón Street had requested that measure, "It was a request since now that stretch of street is often occupied by vehicles of people who travel to the islands and their cars are parked for a week without moving".

The measure adopted aims to have more mobility in the downtown area. Scotto ruled out the possibility that residents were given authorization to park in that area, since it is not a closed area like the Les Roques neighborhood.

This was one of the issues addressed in a plenary session that was very calm and where the opposition groups showed the existing disagreement with managing the issue of cleaning, both in the beaches as in the urban nucleus.

Concern about the excessive influx to Cova Tallada

the mayor Pepa Font, showed his concern and at the same time he made a plea for measures to be taken due to the massive influx of people around the Cova Tallada, both by land and by sea.

For his part, the councilor of Citizen, Sergio Benito, was interested in the project of expansion and protection of the dune zone on the beaches of Dénia. Josep Crespo, mayor of Environment informed him of the meetings and measures that are being carried out. Benito insisted that he thinks that we have to be more ambitious and to bet other types of actions.

Little more than gave a plenary session that lasted just 50 minutes and began keeping a minute of silence in condemnation of gender violence that unfortunately continues to claim victims day after day.
