Dénia opens registration for the new edition of the Family School

The Department of Addiction Prevention, through the UPCCA (Community Prevention Unit for Addictive Behaviors), has organized a new edition of the 'Educant per a previndre' Family School. The fundamental objective of which is to enhance the educational and preventive capacity of families and place them in relation to the reality of their sons and daughters and familiarize them with the risks, behaviors or problems that may arise in the adolescent stage.

The School will be held in five consecutive meetings that will take place on Wednesdays, between January 17 and February 14, 2024, from 19:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m., at the IES Sorts de la Mar facilities.

The contents that will be addressed are:

  • Prepare to understand adolescence (January 17)
  • Promoting good communication at home (January 24)
  • Protect with rules and limits (January 31)
  • Prevent addictions from the family (February 7)
  • Educate in cybersecurity, coexistence and mediation (February 14)

The sessions will be led by leading professionals who are in direct contact with young people and deal with problems from different areas and points of view.

What the aim of this school is to expand information on different topics, as well as strengthen and reinforce mothers, fathers and families in educational techniques and skills. In this way we want to help improve the relationship with sons and daughters, understanding them and providing rules and limits, to improve communication and prevent possible addictions.

Preventive action begins from childhood, so not only mothers and fathers of adolescents are invited to this school, but also all those families who have a minor at home and require tools for the healthy development of their children. and daughters.
