Dani Pérez passes Dianense basketball history as the first international player

Daniel Perez Palomares, has gone down in the history of Dianense basketball, by becoming the first player born in Dénia to debut with a Spanish Basketball Team. The Dianense wore number nine on his shirt, before the Turkish National Team, played three minutes in which he did not score any points. The 14 of April of 2017, and in spite of the defeat by 74 to 70, has happened to be an unforgettable date for this young player.

The Spanish team in the cadet category was invited by the French Federation to participate in the town of Bellegarde on a quadrangular tournament. Along the Spanish team they took part selections LDE Turkey and Montenegro. A tournament that served as preparation for the European Championship to be held in Montenegro next summer.

The Spanish combined was measured in the second match against the hosts, before which fell to 66 58. National remained in the game until the finish line.

Dani Peréz had more minutes against Montenegro

Dani Pérez, 13 minutes played in the third match, before the selection of Montenegro. During his stay on the track he helped the team gain their first win in the tournament (54-80). The Dianense could experience the joy that represents win a match this level of competition.

The player has returned home with tremendous enthusiasm which marked his debut with the national team and in order to return to wear the red elastic. To do this, Dani will continue working with the same rigor that so far it is doing in the ranks of his club Valencia Basket.
