Red Cross recognizes Dénia Hospital for its work on Gender Equality

The Department of Health of Dénia has been recognized by the Red Cross of Alicante for its work on Gender Equality, during the "XIII Day of Awareness and implementation of measures of Equal Opportunities between Women and Men", organized by the entity in the Alicante capital.

Marina Salud has received the distinction, along with two other companies in the province, for implementing measures to integrate treatment and opportunities between women and men, as a strategic principle in the People Policy, without directly or indirectly discriminating on the basis of sex.

The person in charge of Selection and the Equality Commission of the Department of Health of Dénia, Alicia Canet, has been in charge of collecting the award and has highlighted "the importance of incorporating measures and strategies that favor equal opportunities between men and women, with the aim of improving working conditions.

The recognition aims to highlight the effort made by all of them to implement measures that lead to work and family reconciliation, the use of non-sexist language, the existence of action protocols in the event of harassment, or selection processes that include the perspective of gender, among others.

The event was attended by the Provincial President of the Red Cross in Alicante, Remedios Alarcón, and the Deputy for Social Services and Equality of the Alicante City Council, María Carmen Jover. Along with the invited authorities, the representatives of the companies that last year were recognized by the Table for Equality have participated.

The celebration of this day has also served to present the awareness campaign and implementation of measures of Equal Opportunities between Women and Men, which places special emphasis on the Sustainable Development Goal No. 5 -ODS- focused on "Equal Gender" and its transversality.

Along the same lines, the dissertation of the Professor of Law at the UNED of Dénia, Esther Souto, ran. The chapter of the presentations was closed by the Vice President of Huwei Spain, Therese Jamaa, with her "Life Story".
