Start of the XLIV Orysol Ciudad de Dénia International Tournament

This Sunday, July 23, will begin the XLIV Orysol International Tournament 'Ciudad de Dénia' and will end on Sunday, July 30.

The Orysol International Tournament has been held for 43 years, being a pioneer in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe. This year the 44th edition is celebrated, being for the organizing Clubs a very important fact given the effort that is made to be able to carry out these tournaments year after year.

The Orysol Tournament is an international tournament scoring for the world tennis ranking, and serves as a catapult for the young promises of world tennis to get their first ATP points, essential to be able to participate in the big world tournaments.

During all these forty-three years we have been able to see great players like Rafa Nadal, Juan Carlos Ferrero, David Ferrer, Andy Murray, Roberto Bautista, Nicolás Almagro, Pablo Carreño and more recently Bernabé Zapata and Jaume Munar pass through our courts. It should be noted that in the 41st edition, in 2019, the champion was Carlos Alcaraz, who is currently number 1 in the world ranking.

This year, still pending the signature of the participating players, a great tournament with a high tennis level is shaping up.

At the moment, among the many players registered both nationally and internationally, we highlight the promising young 18-year-old, Daniel Mérida, quarterfinalist at Roland Garros Junior 2022.
