CLEOP enters bankruptcy and threatens again building the Third IES

Despite last week, the vice president of the Consell, José Císcar, announced in Dénia the imminent start of works of the Third IES, this week we have known that the company in charge of construction, Cleop, has entered into bankruptcy. The company has not been able to refinance its debt of more than 200 million euros and has proceeded to the suspension of payments.

At the moment it is unknown what will happen with the works of the most necessary educational infrastructure of the city, and opposition groups have raised their voices against this situation.

Councilman Socialist deputy, Jordi SerraRecalls that the mayor herself Ana Kringe He said a few months ago that the preconcurso of creditors of the company should not affect the start of construction of the third high school when the reality has been different since to date have not yet begun work and are in danger.

The Bloc, meanwhile, says that both Cçiscar and Kringe "have made a fool of themselves by ensuring that the works would begin in less than two weeks" and has asked the mayor and the government team for agility to resolve the matter.
