A total of five cars have been involved in a traffic accident on the CV 700 highway, between Pego and El Verger, on the Montepego estate.
For reasons that are unknown, at 14: 14 hours, a vehicle driven by an elderly man has invaded the opposite lane. The first car that has been found has been able to dodge it. A second vehicle has suffered lateral damage. The most serious blow has been with the third vehicle that circulated correctly by the invaded road, with which it has hit frontally. In that vehicle a man and his nine-year-old son were traveling. Due to braking, two other cars have crashed from behind.
The Regional Park of Firemen of Dénia has gone to the zone with a vehicle of first exit, a car of headquarters, a van of tools and rescue. Upon arrival, all the people involved in the accident had left their cars, so the work has focused on stabilizing the injured child, who has been transferred by the SAMU to the Hospital de Dénia.
The firefighters have worked in the safety tasks typical of this type of accidents, such as disconnecting the batteries and clearing the road. The works have finished to the 15: 55 hours.
