Denia will host, starting tomorrow, edition nº 47 del Congress of the Society of Traumatology and Orthopedic Surgery of the Valencian Community, a scientific event aimed at professionals of the specialty.
The meeting, which brings together 200 traumatologists from all over the Valencian Community, will be held on 9 and 10 days in May. Baleària Port (The Harbour District). The scientific program will address issues related to the pathology of upper limb, lower limb, spine, child orthopedics as well as tumors and infections.
The congress is chaired by the Chief of the Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Service -COT- of the Hospital de Dénia, Nuria Franco. According to Dr. Franco, the congress is "An exceptional opportunity for training, updating and exchange for professionals in the area of Traumatology".
As a novelty of this edition will have the presence of skilled nursing professionals in TOC in a simultaneous and complementary days.
The health of the Dénia Hospital actively participate in the scientific papers and training workshops that will take place these days. Among others, Dr. José Lizón, a specialist at the Hospital, will talk about endoscopic spine surgery, in which the Dianense center has been one of the first to implant it in the Valencian Community.
For his part, Dr. Rafael Sanjuan will explain the approach used in the Marina Alta of Dupuytren's disease, through the use of collagenase.
