Last Saturday the 23rd in the morning, the U14 Autonomous Team Championship was held at the Lluís Puig Velodrome in Valencia with the participation of the 8 best teams in the Valencian Community in the male and female categories, among which were the EMA teams. from Dénia - CA Baleària Diànium.
In the men's category, the Dénia team achieved an excellent 3rd position, climbing to the podium for the third consecutive year in this championship. In a very even competition, the Dénia team went from 5th to 3rd position by winning the last event of the day, the 4x200 relay with a spectacular race.
In the women's category, a highly contested 8th position was achieved, as the team finished just 4 points behind the fifth-place finishers.
The first positions of Savelii Bogatov in the 1000 m and the men's 4x200 relay (Léo Baeza, Daniel Reig, Joan Carrió and Savelii Bogatov) are notable; the second positions of Candela Muñoz in the long jump and of Daniel Reig in the high jump, and the third position of Léo Baeza in the 60 m hurdles.
The athletes experienced the competition with great emotion due to the setting, the level and the equality of the championship.
Successful participation in the 7th day of the Regional Athletics League in Dénia
Last Sunday the 24th, the CA Baleària Diànium and the Dénia City Council organized the 7th day of the Regional League at the Dénia Municipal Sports Center. The competition had a large participation of school athletes (youngsters, juveniles, children and cadets) from the Marina Alta and, naturally, there was also a good participation of athletes from the EMA of Dénia - CA Baleària Dianium; 79 Dianenses enjoyed a splendid morning competing at home.
All categories performed a sprint race, the long jump and a middle distance test. The athletes continue to add points for the final classification, which will be decided on April 21 in Pedreguer on the last day.
