Last Sunday the regional team Leclercq SUP Team participated with three of its rider in the I Race of the Mediterranean Circuit of SUP Race, held in El Perelló (Valencia).
The test took place in a 4.500 meter race course for the youth and 9.000 meters for the Elite category, with 5 buoy turns per lap, wind coming from land with gusts of certain intensity and sea plate.
Pablo Gateau Peris, Dianense rider in the U16 category, completed the 4.500 meters in 00:47:16 arriving in a close fifth position a few seconds from the fourth place. Pablo has just started in the SUP a few months ago, surfing, swimming and cycling and has the support of Quiver national rowing company.
Andy Burrows, Kahuna rider (Elite +50), completed a demanding 9.000-meter circuit in a time 01:13:42 fourth Kahuna position and twenty-first in the Elite general. Andy this year has risen from the amateur category and we are sure he will have great moments in the water.
Emilio Irigoyen, local rider based in Marina de DeniaHe enjoyed good feelings with his new F-One AW 14 table completing the 9.000 meter race course at 01:08:47, fifth place Master (Elite +40) and twelfth overall in the Elite overall.
A good start to the season that promises a lot of salt, sweat and Pure SUP Mediterranean.
