El Real Club Nautico Denia traveled to València, last weekend, to participate in the Valencia Children's Sailing Trophy 2019 - UNICEF Cup of Optimist A and B, achieving very good results.
Nando Puig, who competed in Optimist A, managed to be the third ranked in the general, thus positioning himself as third in the men's absolute category and second in the male 13 sub category.
Carlota Gómez, of the Optimist A category, obtained the ninth position of the general, managing to be the first absolute female and first female in the women's sub-13 category.
Elena Colom, of Optimist B, managed to be the second classified in the absolute general and be the first female of the regatta.
The RCND who attended with seven sailors in Optimist A and nine in Optimist B, faced 67 and 83 participants consecutively, in a weekend full of harsh conditions.
Jaime Portolés, President of the Real Club Náutico Dénia, congratulated the club sailors and congratulated them for the great effort and work done in this regatta, which consisted of difficult weather conditions.
