A large representation of athletes belonging to the Municipal School Athletics Dénia and the Athletics Club Baleària Diànium, took part in the first day of the League of Athletics, which had as stage the track of Pego.
It was a festive day, very fun for all the participants who ended up very happy with their performances. For many it was the debut in competition, now they wait with some anxiety for the next day, which will take place this Sunday in Pedreguer.
Carlos Cabrera at the International Cross of Alcobendas
The athlete benisero, Carlos Cabrera, Club Athletics Baleària Diànium, was participating in the International Cross of the Constitution-Memorial Antonio Rodríguez Benavente, which took place in the town of Alcobendas, Madrid.
The test was very hard, with many ups and downs, curves, what is commonly known as "Rompepiernas" The athletes went around the short circuit and four to the long circuit, until completing the 10 kilometers of the track.
As in previous editions, the test had a great level in terms of the quality of the participating athletes. Carlos Cabrera, entered the 75 position of the absolute general with a time of 37.21.
The absolute winner of the test was the Ugandan, Jacob Kiplimo with a mark of 30.01, the second place was for, the Eritrean, Aron Klife, with a time of 30.23. The third classified was, the Kenyan, Edward Zacayo with a record of 30.44. The first Spanish classified was, Adel Mechaal, who entered the seventh place with a record of 31.37.
