DD Brigade: A neglected and shameful street

26 2013 April - 00: 00

Carmen, reader of denia.com, send us by mail this complaint related to one of the most central streets of the city.

It is sad to see how the town hall has completely forgotten Quevedo Street. How many years have they not repaired sidewalks? Do not you realize the bad image that gives a street so central and so neglected? My family and friends when they come to visit me tell me that the street is horrible ... looking dirty and old ... not to mention safety ... it's not just me who has fallen because of the irregularities of the pavement Old and not fixed.

Honestly I do not think it's an economic issue since paving a street so short and making sidewalks safer and cleaner can not be so expensive.

I pray you do happen to Pepa Font.

As has already been said, there are roads much worse than that, more streets are arranged in what is the urban center than on the outskirts that seems not to interest ... you just have to cross the roads and climb the Sant Joan path, holes that swallow you , illegal overhangs, lack of lane delimitation ... and to top it off spending a fortune on solar streetlights that do not work properly, for what? I imagine that to see more or less also the unfortunate state of the street a few hours at night….

I think there are more things that were forgotten more than a decade ago, for being soft saying it, Cartagena street a few meters from the excellent bus station, I never saw a drop of asphalt in more than a decade, patches ... good ... patches. And we want that to be the image that those who visit our city see? ha live from tourism?

I think, think and think you have to look much the image of Denia, take to the streets in conditions and so they do not lose the substance of coastal town. It should be borne in mind that it is a tourist spot and many businesses survive thanks to the high season months. Street fields, although it seems that no, the pavement is to fix, there are places where the sand has disappeared. And every street as Sandunga, Fontanella, the Sea and Puerto Pilota of central places should be arranged for years and many of them are just used to be pedestrian.

For neglected and shameful Fontanella and Sandunga streets ...
As the road that passes in front of the cemetery the asphalt is insane patches and more patches.
