Baleària has received at its stand at FITUR 2021 the Family Tourism Seal of the Spanish Federation of Large Families, a distinctive that recognizes the services or establishments that are committed to the family public.

José Manuel Trigo, president of the Federation has been in charge of delivering the badge to Jorge Raheb, responsible for Sales Strategies of Baleària, who thanked the recognition and assured: "We will continue working to make the trip begin when the family embarks, and that both adults and children enjoy a unique and comfortable experience on board."

For his part, the president of the FEFN has highlighted the importance of having a family offer focused on families to facilitate leisure and tourism for families, also taking into account that they are “a fundamental public for this sector and that they will play a very important role in his recovery, especially this year ”. In this sense, he stressed that "families are eager to travel and enjoy tourism and, therefore, it is important that they have spaces and activities adapted to their needs, such as what is offered Baleària on their ships ”.

It should be remembered that Baleària has several services and facilities for family trips, among which the spaces reserved for the little ones with games, and magic shows and animation in high season stand out. On the other hand, in smart ships, the shipping company has a digital entertainment platform on demand, with content also for them: animated films, digital games, etc.

It should also be noted that ships have high chairs and cots to improve their comfort during the journeys; children's menus are offered in restaurants and cafes; there are changing tables for babies in the bathrooms; and there are special prices for children.

The Family Tourism Seal was created in 2013 by the FEFN with the dual objective of helping families find places for vacations adapted to their needs, and at the same time, favoring the improvement of the tourist offer focused on families. For this, the FEFN, in collaboration with the consultancy DNA Turismo y Ocio, locates and promotes all these entities that are aimed at families, once it has been verified that they meet the requirements to be considered Family Tourism, thereby contributing to expand the offer as it is increasingly of higher quality and specialization. To date, more than 180 tourism entities, including destinations, accommodation and activity companies, have this distinction.
