Negotiations are progressing for Dénia to recover the site of the old ambulatory in Marqués de Campo

27 July 2018 - 06: 46

The negotiations between the City of Dénia and the General Treasury of the Social Security (TGSS) for the site of the former Marqués de Campo outpatient clinic are bearing fruit. On Thursday of last week, the mayor of Dénia, Vicent GrimaltAnd the Councilor for Finance, Paco Roselló, they met in Madrid with the general director of the TGSS, Javier Aibar, and after that meeting the mayor said that there is "many possibilities" that the consistory finally get an agreement.

This was stated in the plenary session held this Thursday in Dénia, to questions from the councilor of GDCU, Pepa Font. Despite not giving more details, the mayor acknowledged that the reality is that there is a good chance that it will be achieved, something that, if achieved, would end with ten years of meetings and negotiations.

The lot is between the Calle Marques de Campo and Calderón Street, opposite the Toy Museum, and the intention of the local consistory has always been to get an agreement to convert it into a public square. Since the building of the former ambulatory, owned by the General Treasury of the Social Security, collapsed in 2008, the site remains fenced.
