Around 10:00 on Friday, a serious accident paralyzed the Les Planes road, in the municipality of Dénia. A cyclist lost control of the march at the exit of a curve causing him to fall. He fatally ended up under an oncoming vehicle even though the driver was able to stop the car. According to the latest information, the cyclist died a few hours after being admitted to the hospital.
Both the Local Police of Dénia and the driver of the vehicle tried to revive him until the arrival of SAMU. Upon arrival, health professionals continued with the maneuvers. He was finally evacuated from the scene to the hospital with multiple injuries and in cardiac arrest. Despite his admission to the Intensive Care Unit and attempts to save his life, he passed away.

Hebben wij gedaan Nelis. De schrik zat mij ook in de benen! Was net gebeurd. Gierende politieauto's in motoren. In de ambulance uiteraard.
Zie zojuist dat de fietser is overleden. wat erg! Sterkte voor de nabestaanden.
Ik rijd deze route elke dag en zie constant fietsers de heuvel af racen in de tegemoetkomende rijstrook. bergop rijden 2 fietsers in slakkengang naast elkaar en blokkeren het hele verkeer…

Wij wonen een gedeelte van het jaar in Denia en gaan geregeld op de fiets naar Javea. Het valt ons op dat er te snel wordt gereden door automobilisten maar ook door de wielrenners. Vooral in de bochten is het beter dat iedereen de snelheid aanpast.
Het is maar 7 km dus tijd verlies is onzin, dus advies denk om je snelheid op deze bochtige weg.
