Next Tuesday 25 of June, millions of people will connect with La1 of Televisión Española to experience the exciting end of 7 Masterchef. A final in which Dénia and Quique Dacosta will have special prominence. This Tuesday we will know if Aleix, Aitana, Valentín or Teresa get the triumph of this hard-fought edition.
Thanks to the 3 Michelin star chef Quique Dacosta and the collaboration of the Department of Tourism of the Dénia City Council and the Association of Hospitality and Tourism Entrepreneurs of the Marina Alta (Aehtma), the final phase of the MasterChef final is celebrated in Dénia, a destination loaded with symbolism for its status as a Creative City of Gastronomy by UNESCO.
In the first duel of the night, the four finalists will dispute the first step to the final duel, reproducing a dish by chef Dabiz Muñoz (3 Michelin stars). To get the last place in the final duel of MasterChef, three aspirants will travel to Dénia (Alicante), to the restaurant of Quique Dacosta (3 Michelin stars), where they will cook a menu designed by the chef himself. Each applicant will prepare, individually, two dishes from this complicated menu. The diners will be the 12 duelists of the 6 previous editions of MasterChef. The best of the test will become the second duelist.
In the final duel, the two finalists will compete to become the seventh MasterChef and will be accompanied by their families and the former contestants. For this special event they will prepare a complete menu consisting of an entree, a main course and a dessert, demonstrating their evolution and everything they have learned over these weeks. The dishes will be tasted by the jury and by the most renowned Latin American chef: Peruvian chef Gastón Acurio.
The winner of the seventh edition will get the trophy that credits him as winner, 100.000 euros, the publication of his own book of recipes and a Master in Cooking, Technique and Product, taught by the prestigious Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences of the Basque Culinary Center.
