According to the World Health Organization, disability is "the general term that covers deficiencies, activity limitations and participation restrictions". So, according to this premise, we all have a disability from the moment we are not able to perform any activity.
And that is precisely the message that from Aprosdeco want to launch to raise awareness about disability and give visibility to the work they do from the association. For this they have devised an advertising campaign with the help of the regional production company Winter's sun y Man Bala, With whom they have released six videos featuring Aprosdeco users.
The protagonists of the campaign are the users of Aprosdeco and people who "supposedly" They do not have any disability. The second ones face the challenge of facing life situations that show what they never imagined or what they have never wanted to recognize: they also have deficiencies, limitations or restrictions. The premise is: who in this society does not have a "disability"?
According to Luis E. Pérez, director of the campaign, "The shooting of these spots has been a great challenge for the boys and girls of Aprosdeco, and one of the most rewarding works we have done. Very intense days full of many emotions. Each recording day has been a real party".
The director of the center, Ana Zambrana, explains that "The campaign aims to visualize that each and every one of us has some kind of limitation or restriction throughout our lives".
