This week, from October 26 to 29, the study techniques workshop "How to prepare an Access course" was held. The workshop has taken place every day for an hour and a half.
The workshop has been given by Carmen Más Llull, COIE Coordinator and tutor at the UNED in Dénia; and by María Pellicer Alcaraz, Head of Virtualization at CA UNED Dénia.
The activity aims to facilitate the achievement of success in the studies of the Access students and has worked on the following topics:
• Organization and planning. With special emphasis on study planning, where the importance of the place of study to the design of the schedule has been discussed.
• Study techniques. This section has covered reading, underlining, making diagrams and summaries.
• UNED Campus / Alf Platform / Virtual course. At this point, being of special importance due to the current context of Covid-19, the novelties of the platform have been explained in depth.
• Preparation and performance of the exam. Exam planning has been discussed here; how to study, memorize and review; the regulations for face-to-face tests; general advice; how to answer the exam; review of exams; and control of test anxiety.
The UNED Dénia, through this workshop, makes the commitment to be next to everything that the students need to successfully develop their studies. This activity is held regularly every year and is free to guarantee accessibility to all students.
