The Dénia City Council has hosted the event organized by the AFIMA association on the occasion of the International Day of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
The president of the regional association, Ana Pacheco, has read a manifesto where the full normalization of this type of diseases has been claimed, which, as explained in the speech, are invisible and lacking support from some institutions . In the same way, the collaboration of other organizations and entities has been appreciated; highlighting the network of personal solidarity between "fatigue partners". Pacheco, on behalf of the association, wanted to "appeal to the principles of responsibility and solidarity of all, without exclusions or excuses, to build a new model of social commitment, eliminating exclusive and unfair clichés."
The representatives of AFIMA have been accompanied in the act by the mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, the Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, and members of the municipal Corporation.
