The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has appeared again, and is already the eighth since the State of Alarm was announced, to report on the situation of the health crisis and the new measures that have been worked on by the Government.
Sánchez has started the appearance affirming that the proposed objectives are being met, «la enfermedad está siendo controlada y el estado de alarma está funcionando», but still, «el Estado de Alarma sigue siendo necesario y el miércoles solicitaremos otra prórroga. Bajar la guardia ahora sería aún peor que habernos rendido hace cinco semanas», has added.
The Prime Minister has stated that starting Monday, May 4, when Phase 0 of the de-escalation begins, «será obligatorio utilizar mascarillas en el transporte público y los bares y restaurantes podrán abrir no solo para entregas a domicilio, sino para que nosotros podamos recoger los pedidos en el local». Also, Sánchez has indicated that «comercios y talleres podrán atender a un cliente por trabajador y con cita de previa».
Regarding the phase change in each Community, Sánchez has stated that there will be a bilateral negotiation with each community to move from one phase to another.
