Vicent Grimalt claims that the PP does not want to approve the General Plan

02 2014 April - 00: 00

When six years have passed since the pentapartito made a motion of censure to expel the socialist mayor Paqui Viciano from the local government, the PSOE denounces that the city is at the same point as then. According to his spokesman, Vicent Grimalt, «esta corporación ha fracasado, no han hecho nada de lo que tenían que hacer».

When the main reason for making the motion of censure was to approve a general plan that would put the urban planning of the city in order, from the socialist ranks they have decided not to ask the councilor for urban planning, Pepa Font, and yes to the mayor of the city.

This happened at the last plenary session, when Grimalt asked the mayor if they were going to take the initial approval to the plenary session before the end of the legislature. To this question, Kringe responded that that same week he requested a series of pending reports to be able to approve the plan to the General Director of Urbanism. Today 9 reports are pending that «en el momento que estén, se cerrará el documento», affirmed the mayor.

But according to Vicent Grimalt, «el PP no quiere aprobar el Plan General». A Popular Party that, according to the Socialists, is currently experiencing internal struggles among its councilors.

For the socialists, the paralysis that the city is experiencing is serious, since the General Plan is not only something pending. Added to this project are the perimeter patrol, the second health center, the now defunct Les Roques ARI, the La Pedrera social health area, the stoppage of the Rotes-Montgó sewer, the lack of a castle master plan or the expected expansion of the Raquel Payà.

Vicent Grimalt takes it for granted that in the coming months, now that there is one year left for the municipal elections, we will see parading through the city high positions of the central and autonomic government «para volver a prometer todos los proyectos de ciudad que en la actualidad están paralizados».
