The Ukrainian artist Oksana Bastis will be the next to exhibit her work at the Marina de Dénia art gallery. The exhibition "Nuestro Mar" opens next Tuesday, April 2 and will run until April 16, at hours, Thursday and Friday from 17 to 20 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 14 p.m. and from 17 to 20 p.m.
This morning, the director of Marina de Dénia, Gabriel Martínez, presented the work of this artist, a work "Very peculiar, built on the basis of material that has been recycled from the sea, boards, shells or stones are part of his paintings", commented Gabriel Martínez.
Bastis has created this work from the collection of natural products, extracted from the storms that Dénia has had from 2016. "Walking along the beach I realized the amount of pieces of wood and different objects that came out of the sea and I collected them. It is a wide collection of my works, biomorphic abstraction fused with realistic painting, which represents the disasters that occurred here after the storms ", Bastis explained.
The exhibition also has emblematic spaces, such as the Marina de Dénia lighthouse, the bank of the Paseo de Les Rotes and different sculptures.
The art gallery of Marina de Dénia opens with this exhibition the new season, with a space that has improved and adapted to the different samples that it will house. The next one will be a collective exhibition during Holy Week.
