MÉS Compromís Marina Alta held the Regional Congress on Saturday, where the executive had to be renewed and the representatives of the region to be elected to the National Council. The event, organized in the Vall de Laguar, brought together a hundred activists with the right to vote from the region and was attended by the National Secretariat, Àgueda Micó.

The event began with the formation of the Table, made up of Conxa del Ruste, Jaume Berenguer and Guillem Marhuenda. These would be in charge of directing the act. After the parliament of the former regional secretary, Guillem Marhuenda, both candidacies were presented for the executive: that of Mari Carme Ronda and that of María José García, as well as the candidacies for National Councilors and Councilors.

During his turn to speak, García offered a positive and inclusive speech where he expressed the relevance of joining with Aitor Llobell to form a strong and functional team: "We define this candidacy, first of all, as a candidacy of consensus, agreement and union, fundamental concepts when it comes to a region made up of peoples and groups of different sensitivities.In this party we know that reaching agreements is necessary to
achieve any objective, and we have to be a reference in dialogue, humility and teamwork to be stronger and more visible at the country level. "

García also spoke about what her project was and what she would do as Secretary: "We have to be more connected, and from that cohesion abandon inherited differences and rejections. We have to go all together because any power is weak when it is not based on the union, and the enemy is always outside, not in here. Finally, the hundred of attending militants voted to choose the new regional executive of the Valencianists and the representatives of the Navy to National Councilors. The first vote resulted in 62% of the votes for the candidacy 'MÉS POBLE, MÉS REGARCA, MÉS PAÍS'.

The new regional secretary thanked the previous secretary for the effort and expressed the importance of MÉS-Compromís Marina Alta: "We are the real force that political Valencianism represents and we do not have to let them take away our space. We are defenders of tradition, the culture, the language, the heritage and the unique territory that we have and that is part of our identity. We will not allow these values ​​to be cornered. "
