The Moors and Christians of Dénia celebrate the start of the Fiestas

This Friday the long-awaited start of the Moors and Christians festivities was made official in Dénia, which return after three years with much to celebrate: its 40th anniversary and the declaration of a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. No wonder the rows overflowed with joy as they paraded through the Marqués de Campo in the afternoon towards Plaça del Consell, where the proclamation (by María José López), the delivery of the keys and the hoisting of banners took place. A joy that intensified (and went wild, as usual) during the gala dinner that was held after the act.
