The five restaurants in Dénia, with or without a star, recommended by the Michelin Guide this 2022

This week the Michelin stars have been delivered and Dénia has a lot to celebrate. Not only did Quique Dacosta revalidate his three stars, the highest achievable distinctive, but also José Manuel López achieved another at the head of Peix i Brases. Thus, two establishments in the city are recognized, but they are not the only ones recommended by the Guide.

As every year, Michelin publishes its Guide, leaving a large space for restaurants that, although they have not achieved the star, deserve the recommendation of their critics. In Dénia, by 2022 there are three kitchens in addition to those already mentioned.

Again, he repeats a well-known restaurant that has wanted to get away from the focus of the guide but cannot avoid being continually recognized: El Baret de Miquel. Miquel Ruiz's establishment has obtained Bib Gourmand recognition, dedicated to those restaurants with the best value for money in their offerings. Of him, the inspector says: «Small, humble and unique in every way, as it reflects the most particular project of chef Miquel Ruiz, a man who seeks happiness from honesty and struggles to popularize haute cuisine. It surprises with a tremendously carefree decoration (sets of crazy tables and chairs, old stoneware floors, a curious collection of siphons ...) and a very personal culinary proposal, with great skill in the executions, based on Mediterranean flavors and from the market, always creating the dishes based on the ingredients that you find when you do your daily shopping ».

Also the Aticcook repeats for the third year in the guide. Bruno Ruiz's restaurant has not stopped receiving awards since he began his career, achieving his chef to become known by winning La Gamba Roja de Dénia and, after hard work, getting to appear in the precious guide. Of him, the inspector has said: «It is in an attic and ... it surprises by its interior design! Creative, personal cuisine with well-defined flavors, which is released through a single seasonal menu ».

Finally, we find the restaurant El Raset. Another of the places, like the Peix i Brases, most sought after in the port of Dénia. The inspector has said of him: «You will find a terrace and two rooms, both with a classic-elegant decoration marked by white tones. Updated traditional cuisine, various rice dishes and a complete menu ».
