06 June 2019 - 08: 59

A total of 116 species of birds make up the latest publication published by the Department of Environment of the City of Dénia, a book by expert ornithologists Joan Sala and Itzíar Colodro that collects the main characteristics of these birds, the most significant, that inhabit in the urban and natural environment of the term.

The guide that has just published the Department of Environment is written in three languages-Spanish, Valencian and English, with color photographs that accompany the texts, and will be delivered to schoolchildren who participate in the outputs of the environmental education program the council carries out during the course and also in the tourist offices of the city.

In addition, the publication, as explained Joan Sala, includes a section where we find detailed 12 ornithological routes of varying difficulty in natural areas of Dénia and the surroundings designed by the authors. It also collects basic information for bird watching, a review of the threats to which the species are subject, explanations about the importance of birds and the need to conserve them and some guidelines for doing so.
