The 2013 Moorish captain, Rafa Cheli, entered the city of Dénia with his best clothes to conquer these precious lands. With a Moorish-inspired pageantry, the story of the conquest of Dénia by Moorish troops was the common thread of their parade.
The first part starred the Moorish farming and farming village, repopulating these lands, which gave way to the entrance to the Nasrid palace, with acrobats from Tangier and very striking and spectacular fire jugglers. The six maidens of the court of honor and the descendants of their warriors escorted the squad of the Royal Guard of the Standard Bearer. Preceded by an original Peacock ballet, the standard bearer, Adela Marzà, arrived, accompanied by the Agrupació Musica d'Agullent.
After the captain's favorite, it was his turn to enter the city. Two special squads, a beautiful ballet of the “Water Fountain” and three Friesian horses announced the arrival of the 2013 Moorish captain, Rafa Cheli, on a colorful and very attractive float. To close the parade, and protecting its captain, the captain's special squad paraded with a corporal beater on a camel.
