Conference to discuss tourism in Dénia

Under the title «Tourism policy under debate: current reflections and future challenges»The Socialist Group in Dénia has prepared a workshop to discuss the type of tourism we have and where we want to go in the coming years.

The objective of the conference is to study how other city councils are managing tourism at the local level, such as Jávea or Benidorm, and to listen to the opinions of the different social and economic agents involved in the city in tourism matters.

It will be next Tuesday, July 1, when this event will be held at La Casa de la Paraula, in Baleària Port. At 9 in the morning the attendees will be received and at 9:15 it will be the secretary of the Socialists, Vicent Grimalt, who will present the day. Then the speaker Javier Gómez-Navarro Navarrete, Minister of Commerce and Tourism between 1993 and 1996 will take the floor, who will give a talk that will lead to a debate by the attendees.

Behind him is Joan Carles Cambrils who will talk about "Public-private collaboration in public-private tourism business entities."

Finally, Antonio Bernabé moderate a panel called «How to manage the tourist destination: public-private collaboration under debate» in which they will participate Agustin Navarro, Mayor of Benidorm, José Chulvi, Mayor of Xàbia; Cristina Sellés, President of AEHTMA; Miguel Agulles, Dénia Tourist Businessman, Adolfo Utor, President of Balèaria and Javier Gómez-Navarro Navarrete.
