Periañez tribute to Juan Cabrera in Dénia Tennis Club

The former president of the Dénia Tennis Club, Juan Periañez Cabrera, received a warm tribute from the club where he was president for 25 years, from 1990 to 2011.

The tribute consisted of the opening of a roundabout in the club, which was planted a century-old olive tree donated by the Periañez Llopis family. His widow with her two children and relatives was responsible for discovering a plaque at the foot of the same olive tree.

The event was attended by a large number of club members, tennis fans, club president Vicente Devesa and members of its board of directors as well as on behalf of the city council, Pepa Font, First Deputy Mayor and the sports councilor, Juan Carlos Signes

The club president Vicente Devesa addressed those present with words of remembrance for Juan Periañez, a man who left the legacy of his works at the club.

Pepa Font, also gave a very emotional speech to all present which recalled the commendable work done honoree during all the years he headed the club.
