The former president of the CD Dénia Toni Roselló responds to Gema Estrela with a tough statement

Toni Roselló, former president of CD Dénia during the transition of the Second Division "B" club, has issued this statement to respond to what Gema Estrela declared to the press about the situation of the club inherited at the beginning of his mandate:

In relation to the statements issued in recent days in the press, of the situation inherited from the Dénia Sports Club by, to this day, former president Gema Estrela Alfaro. We want to record the following points:

• 1. In the 2011 / 2012 season that Gema mentions, she was part of the manager, being present in all the meetings that took place and having proof of the social and economic situation of the club, meetings where she had voice and vote.

• 2. Likewise, he was present at the last meeting, where he decided to resign to present the 200.000 € guarantee that they required us to remain at 2ªB, and settle all the outstanding debt the club had with suppliers, club employees and non-professional players. Likewise, it was decided not to include in these payments the rest of the professional players since they would be paid by the FOGASA (salary fund) through the AFE.

• 3. With date 13 / 08 / 2018, Gema was sent by e-mail, a document with outstanding debts of the season so that she had full knowledge of the situation, which she already had when she was part of the manager.

• 4. In relation to the municipal subsidy, at the date of the last meeting of the management board, at the end of the 2011 / 2012 season, it was still pending to receive, and given that the economic situation could be resolved as described in the previous points, together with the knowledge that Gema would continue in charge of the club, by its own decision, in the 2012 / 2013 season, it was agreed that when this subsidy was received, it went directly to the club treasury for the management of the club in the 2012 / 2013 season in group VI of the third division.

With all of the above, we want to make clear that the remaining treasury that was left at the end of the 2011 / 2012 season, counting that Gema, as the new president, would make the necessary arrangements for the collection of the municipal subsidy of the previous year, and trusting that this would be due to the trust he had with the government team, was 42.150 €, as indicated in the third last point of the text of paragraph 3 of this writing.

In any case, and before all the above, we want to record that we always want the best for the Dénia Sports Club.
