Mayor gets a commitment from the Treasury to clean up the site of the former clinic in Marqués de Campo

The mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, met on Monday in Alicante with the provincial director of the General Treasury of Social Security in Alicante, Gema Gómez Magraner, to address the status of the plot occupied by the old clinic on Marqués de street. Field.

The site is owned by the Treasury and since the building was demolished in 2008 it remains fenced and isolated. In 2013, the City Council made a proposal to exchange the ownership of this plot with a plot of 1.000 square meters in the Torrecremada area, and in April 2014 the dossier was sent with all the information to the Treasury. At the meeting held on Monday, the mayor got the provincial director's commitment to take charge of cleaning the site, while he proposed the municipal collaboration to remove the fences and improve the image at the height of 52 number The main commercial artery of the city.

As for the proposed barter, the mayor acknowledged that it will be complicated. Next week will come to Denia Treasury technicians to carry out the appraisal of the lots and from there will be studied different possibilities to give way to empty space.

In the meeting with Gómez Magraner, the mayor was accompanied by the first deputy mayor, Rafa Carrió, and the councilor for Territory and Urban Quality, Maria Josep Ripoll.
